Dear members of The Korean Neurocritical Care Society,

I am MOONKU HAN, Chairman of the Board of The Korean Neurocritical Care Society and Professor of Neurology at Seoul National University (Seoul National University Bundang Hospital).

Fifteen years have passed since its founding, and it has solidified its position as a mid-sized medical society. Now, we are entering an important period of greater development and growth in addition to solidity. With a sense of responsibility as a first-generation Neurointensivist who first started Neuro-critical Care, we, along with our seniors, colleagues, and junior teachers, will establish our Society with excellent capabilities in all fields, including research, treatment, and policy, and expand our society to compete with other existing Neurocritical Care Society in other countries. We will make it an academic society that cooperates and develops.

Based on the past decades of clinical experience and research achievements, over the next two years, we will train and foster neuro-intensive care specialists, hold an integrated neurocritical care conference with neurosurgery and neurology, provide integrated treatment, expand neurological intensive care units at each hospital, and Together with many members, we will lead the society to establish guidelines for neurological critical care, compile neurocritical care textbooks, expand insurance for neurological critical care, and cooperate with foreign neurocritical care societies.

All of our efforts and achievements should be able to treat the pain of neurological patients suffering from severe neurological diseases and provide hope for escaping from the pain of severe neurological diseases.

We promise to all members that we will continue to do our best without guidance for the development and growth of the society and to create an environment where all members can work hard.
